I would like to find a newer conversion for sale something with 350hp or more, with an autoshift preferably more than a six speed. A friend has a country motor truck conversion, I would like something maybe along that line. thanks Joe

looked at your website and I have one question. Knowing that setback axle trucks are regularly close to the max front axle weight, do you not have a problem with that long wheelbase overloading the front axle?

V8Rail, We haven't had a problem with that. The overall weight of the coach and that part which bears on the front axle is still significantly less than when with a shorter wheelbase the total weight of truck and trailer is up to 80,000#. The truck shown pulled a relatively light trailer (6500#) and today pulls a smaller one for a racing kart racer. There is a customer who is considering a stacker and for him I am recommending keeping the tandems intact.

I really hope your conversion is lighter then 80,000lbs. but I do not talk about GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight).

I ask it as simple as I can now :

1. how much is your front axle weight rating ? the number should be somewhere in your doorframe. My Pete 379 says 12000 lbs front axle.

2.how much weight was on that front axle ready to go out camping? It should be a number somewhat smaller then answer 1. .... else you have a problem with overloading the axle and/or tires and that would be a design problem.

I went back and looked at the weigh station receipt we received in WI. Weight at front axle was 10,800.
