I found this Vovlo on ebay and wondered what you guys think about it for a HDT motorhome.

Also, what do you think is a fair price?

That looks like a very nice truck. I have no idea on a price tho. Do you want to use a sleeper cab for a truck conversion? I think it's a nice thing to have but the drawback is they take space that could be used for the living quarters. I like the way Showhauler uses opposing sofas that fold flat to create a bedroom when camping. I also like the idea of two captains chairs facing forward and putting some big side windows in for passengers to sit there and chat while motoring. But that makes it kind of wasted space when camping.

My plan (in my head) is to make the sleeper area an office for the wife's scrapbooking or crapbooking as I call it, than living area, kitchen than bath/shower than bedroom. I keep going back to Hawk Engineerings web site and like what he does. I am maybe a year off from either buying an already built and remodeling or having someone built one for me. That's my plan.

...have you tried to change the order of things???....sometimes a new look at the same old-same old will reveal a new slant on things....I like to reverse things in order to change the balance of the living area so it might be advisable to mess around with different things from time to time....geof

Did you see this Hawk rig for sale?: www.balinfamily.com I think this looks like quite a nice rig for a great price. It's got the sleeper you could turn into her crapbooking office.

No Geof, I looked hard at buying that rig. It's used so doesn't have anything to do with Hawk. I even called Hawk to ask them some questions about it. The only reason I didn't buy it is it only has a 10k lb hitch. I want to be able to pull a stacker. I'd love to see somebody buy it. I think the seller has a new rig being built by Hawk that's why he's selling this one.

Yes , I've seen the photo's of the balinfamily coach but i don't need a garage and those stairs would be a problem sense I'm up six times a night using the little boys room. My thought in putting her office in the sleeper is she can work while i drive and when parked she has her "own" space.

Here's one available about 30 miles from me: http://busesandmore.com/rvs/2004-Show-Hauler.shtml

I actually made an offer on this one last year before I bought my rig. He's been trying to sell it for almost 2 years. he was asking $140k. I offered much less than that. The truck looks to be very nice. I'm no mechanic so can't attest to the mechanical shape. The conversion is very nice and clean. I ran into the salesman at a show recently and he indicated the seller would likely take my original offer now, he's getting more desperate to sell it I'm thinking. Glad to pick somebody up at MSP and take them to check it out too.
