Has anyone extended their factory cab? Ive found a truck that is a single axle with an integrated sleeper that is damaged in rear/side. I would like to drill out the rivets and extend out frame work and re-skin it to match factory construction. Is this do-able? Should I use sealant in the joints? Thanks, Im very anxiuos to get this rolling. You guys pics have inspired me.

I wouldn't think extending the cab would be a problem. Suggest you use structure similiar to original & tie into the cab structure using ample cross (diagonal) bracing to compensate for a longer shell. Always insulate any of the steel structure from aluminum (outer panels) to prevent electrolysis. To fasten the outer panels to the structure, I would suggest Sikaflex 252 or rivits. I am not impressed with 3M VHB tape.
